An ideal stopover on your way to Nyungwe or Volcanoes National Park. Relax by the pool, go kayaking, or join a sunset fishermen’s boat trip for a beautiful and peaceful break.
1 Night at Umurobyi Lodge
The perfect length for a full experience. Enjoy everything around the lodge at your own pace: take a day trip to the Source of the Nile, hike the Congo Nile Trail, visit a tea or coffee plantation, and still have time for all the lodge activities without feeling rushed.

Kayaking adventure on the calm waters of the lake (included in your stay)
Vespa tour through the scenic hills of Kibuye (included in your stay of 2 nights):
Explore Karongi on your own, or take a map from the lodge to guide you (Please note: a valid driver’s license is required).
Boat trip to the islands or sunset boat tour on Lake Kivu (rwf 20k per hour):
Sunset boat ride: Join us for a magical sunset boat ride where you’ll get up close to the local fishermen as they cast their nets on Lake Kivu. You’ll have the unique chance to hop into one of their traditional boats and fish alongside them, experiencing their way of life as the sun slowly sets over the water.
Guided walk to the nearby fishermen’s port (included in your stay)
Picnic experience on one of Lake Kivu’s peaceful islands (possibility when when taking a boat trip to one of the islands)
Hike a part of the famous Congo Nile Trail (price upon request depending on your hike)
